CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Wana Khatulistiwa, since 2012, the city forest with its area cover of 8 hectares, was established and managed by PT KPI and in the year of 2016, we have planted more than 3,500 trees of some of various local Kalimantan trees such as: Bangkirai, Ulin, Mahoni Gaharu, Pulai, Meranti, as well as other various local fruits tree Manggis, Lai, Rambutan, Durian, Wanyi, Pasak Bumi.

Currently, we are still continue nurturing the forest like grass trimming , fertilizing and watering the plants. For the infrastructure such as water wells are available and include clean water storage tanks to be channeled to the bathroom or watering plants in the dry season.

Besides we also build and provide the infrastructure on the location such as toilets, water tank, path road and also 6 X 4 meter gazebo as multipurpose shelter. We hope the facilities like gazebo and toilets as well as other infrastructure and various complete trees make this city forest “Wana Khatulistiwa” is proper enough to become a place of reference and research for students to know and learn local and natural Kalimantan trees. In the next year 2017, we plan to add some collection to this city forest, but this time with specialize of swamp and herbal trees.
